Happy ‪#‎Teachertuesday‬. If you haven’t noticed by now, we loving sharing and celebrating our teachers at SWY and the work they do to share yoga with others. We already introduced one of our #IDYNashville teachers. But, this week we are also highlighting @parkermcclellan, a recent yoga teacher training grad! Parker’s life has been transformed by the benefits of yoga, and in March of 2016, she received her 200 hr certification in order to share those benefits with others. Parker especially appreciates the ways that a consistent yoga practice can help to relieve stress, cultivate compassion for ourselves and others, and teach us how to breathe through difficult situations on and off the mat. Parker is a World History teacher at McGavock High School, and she leads a weekly yoga classes there for her fellow teachers. Next year, she plans to add a class for students. Parker is passionate about Small World Yoga’s mission of expanding access to yoga and the positivity that it yields. Her classes are designed to help her students realize and experience their own strength and resilience in order to create a stronger sense of self worth and efficacy. When she isn’t in the classroom or on the mat, Parker is cooking, reading, or hanging with her cats, Lola and Louise. ‪#‎smallworldyoga‬ ‪#‎yogaforall
