Rachel Brown

Rachel is a gentle spirit who loves to empower individuals on and off the mat. Rachel began practicing yoga in 2014 at a Bikram studio in Tampa, FL. During her time at Furman University in Greenville, SC she called Soul Yoga her home. Then, after graduating in 2019, before moving to Nashville, Rachel completed a 200hr YTT at Kodawari Studios in Tampa. Rachel is drawn to the physicality, playfulness, and spiritual connection that yoga brings. She experienced the empowering nature of yoga through the community outreach class she taught at Room in the Inn during the winter of 2019-2020.

Further, Rachel has experience teach yoga for youth at the Martha O’Bryan Center. After taking a hiatus from teaching throughout the pandemic, Rachel began teaching again at Belmont University during the spring of 2022. As a part of her Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program Rachel will be partnering with Nurture Nashville Yoga to provide prenatal yoga and wellness courses. She feels called to care for individuals journeying through pregnancy, to adapt postures and flows in order to increase the accessibility of yoga to all, and to promote the power of engaging in meaningful activity in a community of empowerment. Be ready for a fun and lively class with Rachel – a class that lets you connect to your inner child and offer yourself the self-compassion to play, enjoy, and grow!
